Queenstown Marina - Surface of Water.
The Frankton Marina redevelopment In Queenstown involved the replacement of an existing facility with a modern 195-berth marina and an associated wave attenuator. The development included floating sheds for commercial purposes, fueling services, secure parking and land-based commercial buildings.
We obtained the necessary consents from both the Otago Regional Council (ORC) and the Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) in a complex application that involved applications for land use, water permits and a discharge permit from the ORC, as well as a land use and subdivision consent from QLDC.
This decision was appealed and went to the Environment Court where the appeal was successfully mediated. The Environment Court issued a Consent Order granting the consent.
